CSS UNDER CONTRUCTION…NO MORE! September 7, 2008

CSS MAY LOOK WEIRD FOR A FEW HOURS. BE PATIENT IT IS UNDER GOING WORK

UPDATE: GAH WHY IS IT NOT WORKING!?!?!?!?!?!!??!?!

UPDATE: oh there we go but why is it only at the top?

UPDATE: oh yay! im a genius! (actually aguair’s comment earlier helped)

BACKGROUND IS DONE!!! HAHA!!!!!! YAHOO!!!!

After a good 30 minutes of struggling (15 minutes and then i had to clean the houes and mow the lawn and then another 15 minutes!) I did it! First time it was too big (the pictures) and second time it wouldnt work. Ifinally figured out there shouldn’t be a space between ‘url’ and the ‘(‘ third time it worked but there were only two of the pics on the top. fourth time i deleted the ‘-x top’ out of ‘repeat-x top;’ and it worked! it was so hard!

And also it took me a while to make the darn pic! I took all the pics from istockphoto and they all have a big istockphoto logo across the middle that I had to get rid of using paint. i zoomed in and then cut and paste little pieces of the same color over it and also stretched color next to the logo over it. its tedeius work!

woo Im so giddy with happiness! and starving.  well im going to go eat some spaghetti! yum!

question: do you think its a bit to busy? should i make it smaller and more like a pattern? i might lose some of the detail making it smaller though

~Carly

P.S. in the sneak peak pics I didnt use one of them. can you figure out which? 😉

OK CARLY! You need to put in this code but change the number color code to the number u want.

}

#comments {
clear:both;
background:#f7aaa0;
padding:15px;
}

#comments h2 {
margin:0;
}

#comments dl {
margin:0;
padding:0;
}

Hope this helped!

I’m only doing this because I’m helpful 😆

Tabs:

}

ul#nav li a {
text-transform:none;
color:#fff;
background:#000;
border:none;
border-bottom:none;
display:block;
white-space:nowrap;
padding:10px 14px;
}

ul#nav li a:hover {
background:#2e2e2e;
text-decoration:none;
}

ul#nav .current_page_item a,ul#nav .current_page_item a:hover {
color:#fff;
background:#2e2e2e;
text-decoration:none;

Everything in bold are the colours.

The first line is for what a normal tab looks like (The ones currently blue). The ‘COLOR’ bit is for the text colour, and the ‘BACKGROUND’ bit is for the tab background colour.

The second line of code is for when you hover over any tab. The background bit is for changing the tab hover colour.

The final bit of code is for the tab of the page you are currently on (E.G – When I am posting this, I am on the home page, which’ tab is green).The color bit is for the text and the background bit is for the background of the tab.

Now, if this doesn’t help – I’m gonna smash my head against a window 😀

Good luck,

Kaguar

Wow the background is CRAAAAZY AWESOME!!! LOVE IT I LOVE IT IT IS AWESOME!!! You know what’d be really cool? If you could figure out how to change the background on the posts. I think that would look cool as one of the greens from the multi coloured trees.

Whew! Looks fantastic!!

Amazing what you can do with this CSS stuff.
It’s not too messy really. It stands out alot though.

But cool!!

Arrggh, Adam had this problem as well. I can’t remember how I resolved it though.

Really sorry.

I suggest you copy the 3 lines of code you have now for the tabs, and shove them on a notepad document. Then, go into ‘Regulus theme options’ and chage the tab colour to ‘Blend it in’. Then put your code back in and see if it works.

😀
